Fashion Design
The Master's degree in Fashion Design aims to develop a personal vision of the world of fashion, through the consolidation of knowledge and design, reflective, creative and critical capabilities, within a framework of experimentation and versatility capable of meeting current needs and expectations of professional territories. There are three possible paths to choose from - Communication, Entrepreneurship and Communication, which meet the needs of the market, which is looking for professionals with different profiles to work in different areas of fashion design.
Career prospects may include becoming an independent fashion designer, creating a fashion brand; a designer for the industry, working for a specific brand or studio, in multidisciplinary teams; consultant designer in the area of entrepreneurship, communication and sustainability in the fashion area.
National Contest
Individuals pursuing Fashion Design or related fields are eligible to apply for the course. The application process follows the FAUL regulations, specifically Order no. 8631/2020 issued on September 8th and DR, 2nd series no. 80 on April 26th, 2016. The application is conducted online via the Fenix portal, and there are three phases to the process.
The specific condition for entering the Masters in Fashion Design (MDM) is subject to scrutiny by the course's Scientific Committee, which translates into the evaluation of the portfolio, CV, letter of motivation, certificate of qualifications with a description of the curricular units that make up your degree and interview. Examination of these documents allows us to identify which candidates should be admitted and excluded. After this analysis, the MDM Scientific Committee meets to deliberate and draw up minutes with the results that will be communicated online to candidates by the Undergraduate Secretariat.
