Vice-President for Research and Director at the Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences, Oden is also Cockrell Family Regent Chair in Engineering 2 and Peter O'Donnell Jr. Centennial Chair in Computing Systems. At Texas University, he is Professor of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, and of Math.
