Cognitive Science
The PhD study cycle in Cogntive Science aims to provide general training in Cognitive Science from a multidisciplinary perspective through an advanced training course (1 year) followed by 3 years of scientific research do achieve an original dissertation at doctoral level. The multidisciplinary aspect is central to the study cyle, which is reflected in its internal organization and curricular structure.
Doctors in Cognitive Science are responsible for the design, development and operation of advanced services and systems with a marked cognitive component, based on scientific research on the mind and brain. Examples, among many others, of its areas of activity, are innovation, research and management in: Technological, consulting and auditing companies; Companies with advanced systems of interaction with users; Companies and institutions in the area of health care and support for people with special needs; Accreditation and regulatory bodies; Hospital institutions; Research and development laboratories; Higher education and research institutions, etc.
Access and ingress
The following are admitted as candidates for registration: a) Holders of the degree of Master or legal equivalent in any area of knowledge; b) By way of exception, holders of a bachelor's degree or legal equivalent, holders of a especially relevant academic or scientific study that is recognized as attesting to the capacity of this cycle of studies by the Scientific Committee of the Doctoral Program.
