Goals

Refine and deepen the research in Maritime History, developing skills to work and research with autonomy, evaluating in a critical way different types of information, integrating knowledge of a multidisciplinary human activity related to the sea and its use over time, without neglecting ethical and social implications. Develop and integrate knowledge with components related to Social History, Economic, Political, Cultural and Mentalities, where cross complex and diverse technical elements, such as navigation, cartography, shipbuilding and oceanography. Deepen the ability to communicate the findings of the research, exposing the knowledge and reasoning underlying it, clearly and accurately, in order to provide its own identity as a historian of Maritime History.

Career prospects

State-of-the-art knowledge at the forefront of an area of study or work and in the interconnection between areas; more advanced and specialized skills and techniques, necessary for solving critical problems in the area of research and/or innovation for the expansion and redefinition of existing knowledge or professional practices.
