Tourism
The main objective of the degree is to contribute to the formation of human capital with high scientific and technical competences, capable of responding to the challenges and demands that tourism faces, in its relations with the competitiveness of products and the sustainability of destinations. The study cycle is intended not only for graduate students who wish to pursue their training at a doctoral level, but also for consultants and analysts, strategic planners and managers, and technicians and management boards of companies, tourism associations, and destination management organizations that intend to explore, in scientific and applied terms, solutions aimed at improving the tourism system and its relationship with the environment, destinations and local communities.

Access and ingress
Application requirements:
a) The holders of a master degree or equivalent in the areas of Tourism, Geography, History, Sociology, Management and Economics, or related field;
b) In exceptional circumstances, the holders of a degree or equivalent, hold a relevant academic or scientific curriculum recognized as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies by the legal and statutorily competent body of the University of Lisbon.
