Goals

This program aims to provide training in the areas of mathematics with greater application and employability in our country, without neglecting the acquisition of solid knowledge in their basic and fundamental aspects. The main objective is that students are able to use mathematics for solving practical problems, in the business environment as well as in the development of technology and in research especially in interdisciplinary areas. It is also intended that students are able to use and develop tools for Computer troubleshooting of Applied Mathematics and acquire some knowledge in other scientific areas that are preferred fields of application of mathematics, such as physics, economics, and management.

This program also aims to provide a sufficiently broad and deep knowledge that will allow further studies of 2nd Cycle in a vast array of areas of expertise.
