Goals

In the labor market there has been an increasing demand for specialists in applied statistics. The opinion surveys and market surveys, information flow in administration, processing and quality control of national and European official statistics, have opened a wide range of human resource needs in the area of Applied Statistics.

The competitiveness of the tertiary sector, greatly stimulated by the privatization followed by the opening of larger markets, has led to strong investment in risk control and in the area of Consumer Relationship Management, with methods of statistical analysis smart, able to handle, manage and analyze large amounts of information.

A degree in Applied Statistics, whose axis is the data collection/production and his analysis and interpretation, aims to train professionals for business surveys and market studies for the central and local government, management of information in the media and political parties and midsize or large companies.
