Spatial Planning and Management
The degree in Spatial Planning and Management responds to the training needs of technicians and qualified professionals in the areas of urbanism, planning and land management, targeting central government agencies, local authorities, businesses and third sector organizations. The degree constitutes a decisive contribution to the establishment of a culture of spatial planning, guided by the preservation of the environment, spatial justice and inclusive participation of civil society in the planning process.
The activity of professionals in Planning and Land Management contemplates:
coordination and elaboration of spatial planning programmes and plans at different scales of intervention (national, regional, municipal and local);
evaluation studies of policies and programmes with territorial impact research projects with territorial incidence;
collaboration in community programmes with territorial impact.
