Goals

The Master of Science (MSc) in Biochemistry and Biomedicine provides advanced training in topics of biochemistry that impact on the understanding of molecular, biochemical and cellular processes relevant for cutting-edge problems in biology and biomedicine. This training is essential to respond to societal challenges currently addressed by life sciences, in health and technology.

The implementation of an integrative approach in the life sciences and biomedicine through biochemistry - from molecules to cells and to systems - is achieved in this MSc program through an ambitious curriculum combining robust preparation in core and emerging topics.

This master's degree implements an innovative laboratorial training through the execution of integrative projects in research laboratories. The students learn to plan and implement research projects resorting to advanced technologies and instrumentation. These unique skills foster the development of high quality dissertations and promote employability.
