civil Engineering (ULisboa and SHU)
The objectives of the Master in Civil Engineering are to provide students with a solid advanced education that will enable them to follow the evolution of knowledge and technologies throughout their professional life.
With the training now proposed, focusing mainly in the areas of Structures, Construction and Geotechnics, but with an overview of Civil Engineering, it is intended that graduates have the necessary skills to develop activities such as:
Construction of buildings, bridges, public facilities and other large facilities;
Terrain modelling and geotechnical works;
Water and sanitation systems and networks;
Rehabilitation of buildings and infrastructures;
Recycling and waste management;
Production of building materials and components;
Management and maintenance of projects and works;
They may also perform the following functions: consulting; project management; leadership; professional training and education.
