Dental Hygiene
The Masters in Dental Hygiene aims to provide the student with a broad set of knowledge, skills and attitudes, in order to promote sound scientific knowledge and skills for study and research in the field of Dental Hygiene, as well as, for the development of practical applications in the area of knowledge. It also provides the student with knowledge and skills that enable them to contribute to the improvement of population’s oral health and health system development, both in Portugal and in a wider scope, in the scientific, professional and citizenship fields.
Provision of care and / or promotion of oral health in health centers, clinics, medical and dental offices, day care centers, kindergartens, hospitals, industry and corporations related to the manufacture and sale of medical, dental and oral health materials, nursing homes and school units; Teaching; Investigation
Access and ingress
Holders of a degree in Dental Hygiene or legal equivalent; Holders of a foreign academic higher degree in Dental Hygiene, awarded in a first cycle of studies organized in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a State adhering to this Process; Holders of a foreign academic higher degree in Dental Hygiene that is recognized as meeting the objectives of an University degree by the FMDUL Scientific Council; Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum in Dental Hygiene that is recognized as providing capacities for the completion of this master's programme by the Scientific Council of FMDUL.
