Environmental Engineering (ULisboa and SHU)
The objectives of the Master in Environmental Engineering is to provide graduate students with a solid advanced education in key environmental issues, enabling students to interpret complex problems and develop ways to solve them. Students will gain advanced knowledge for managing a wide range of environmental topics, covering the fields of water, air and atmosphere, solid waste and energy. Natural systems management and environmental instruments and policies are also covered.
Students will develop advanced skills to solve environmental problems in an integrated manner, taking into account the different aspects of the concept of sustainability: ecological, social, economic and governance.
At the end of the study cycle students will develop a dissertation that will allow them to apply the acquired knowledge throughout the study cycle and to understand the main bases of scientific research.
