History Teaching for the 3rd Cycle of Basic School and for Secondary School
The Master in History Teaching aims to provide general training and professional qualification for teaching in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education in the area of History, through the development of specific scientific and didactic skills and the carrying out of supervised pedagogical practice.
The Instituto de Educação participates in the teaching of this Master in Teaching together with the Faculdade de Letras of the Universidade de Lisboa.

Access and ingress
1. Accepts as candidates for registration, in accordance with Decree-Law Nº 79/2014, of 14th May, the annex was amended by art. 7 of Decree-Law Nº 176/2014, of 12th December, those which meet the following conditions:
a) are holders of the following degrees:
i. licensed or legal equivalent (s) area (s) scientific (s) of the course;
ii. foreign academic degree conferred following a 1st cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna Process by a member state in the scientific area(s) of the course;
iii. foreign academic degree in the scientific area(s) of the course of study, which is recognized as meeting the objectives of a degree by the Scientific Committee of the master's degrees in education;
b) they have obtained either within the academic qualifications referred to in the previous paragraph, or through other higher education study cycles, the minimum training requirements laid down for admission in the respective specialty in accordance with paragraph b) of nº 3 of article 18º of Decree-Law Nº 79/2014, of 14th May, the annex was amended by art. 7 of Decree-Law Nº 176/2014, of 12th December.
2. It may also apply to enroll in a course of study leading to a master's degree in one of the specialties listed in the Annex to the Decree-Law Nº 79/2014, of 14th May, as amended by art. 7 Decree-Law Nº 176/2014, of 12th December, those who meet the conditions referred to in subparagraph d) of paragraph 1 of Article 17 of Decree-Law Nº. 74/2006 of 24th March, amended by Decree-Laws Nºs 107/2008, of 25th June, Nº 230/2009, of 14th September, and Nº 115/2013, of 7th August, and meet the requirements minimum training laid down for admission in the respective specialty listed in the Annex.
3. They may also apply to enroll in a course of study leading to a master's degree in one of the specialties listed in the Annex to the Decree-Law Nº 79/2014, of 14th May, as amended by art. 7 of Decree-Law Nº 176/2014, of 12th December, those who have only obtained 75% of the credits of the minimum training requirements laid down for the respective specialty therein.
4. The candidates will have to pass a written Portuguese test expressly made for access to this course of study.
