Military History
The studies on Military History have attracted many post-graduate training in academic institutions of worldwide reference. The mission of this joint academic institutions in this MA Military History program is to provide students with a base of historical knowledge within the field of military history; build an awareness of differing historical interpretations; build the ability to synthesize diverse types of historical knowledge; build and refine student research, writing, analysis, and presentation skills. It is intended to develop both basic skills and a theoretical capacity to discuss the presented contents. In parallel intends to provide students with a foundation for developing a professional identity as a historian in the field of Military History.
Application of basic academic training to the ability to produce original high-level scientific works and the development of a reflective professional practice.
Access and ingress
Are admitted as candidates for registration: a) The holders of a degree or legal equivalent. b) In the selection of candidates to the frequency of the course will be an overall evaluation of his journey, which will be considered in order of priority, the following criteria: i) classification of degree they hold under the European scale comparability (Article 19 of Decree-Law nº 42/2005, February 22) or the number of the classification of your degree in that year (paragraph 2 of Article 20 of Decree-Law nº 42 / 2005, February 22),
scored 1-5; ii) assessment of academic, scientific and technical curriculum, scored 1-5. c) It may be effected an interview to candidates if the Scientific Committee Cycle studies deemed necessary. d) Candidates will be serialized according to the score obtained in the selection.
