Nota Biográfica

Full Professor in the School of Economics and Management (ISEG), Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal, and researcher at SOCIUS/CSG – Research Centre on Economic and Organizational Sociology, ISEG/ULisboa.

He studied Sociology in ISCTE-IUL, Lisboa, and holds a PhD in Economic and Organizational Sociology owned by ISEG/ULisboa. He was Visiting Professor at Brown University, USA, Unicamp, Brazil, and Universitat de Valencia, Spain.

His main areas of interest are international migration, demography and economic sociology. He coordinated and participated in several research projects. He is author or co-author of several books and articles published in national and international journals.
