Pharmaceutical Sciences
The overall objective of the PhD Degree in Pharmacy at FFULisboa is to reflect research and innovation activities into tangible direct benefits for society, which include advanced qualification in the areas of medicines and its interaction with health, both in health promotion and in prevention of disease.
Academic and research institutions, university and research institutes, government agencies, clinical and hospital centers, pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology, among others. They can also create their own employment opportunities.
Access and ingress
Candidates applying to the cycle of studies leading to the PhD degree in Pharmacy shall be: a) Holders of a Master Degree or legal equivalent in related fields to Pharmaceutical Sciences; b) holders of Bachelor degree or legal equivalent, possessing a relevant academic or scientific curriculum recognized as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies by the legal and statutorily competent body of the university where they wish to be admitted; c) Exceptionally, holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognized as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies by the Scientific Council.
The recognition referred to in b) and c) will be based on recommendations issued by two professors or PhD researchers, considered experts in the scientific field of study applicable and appointed by the Coordinator of the corresponding cycle of studies.
