Considering the recent events regarding COVID-19’s development , Universidade de Lisboa decided to take action with a set of measures aimed at preventing the spread of the virus.

In this regard, all Schools have suspended their in-class activities, replacing them, whenever possible, with other learning mechanisms that allow for the monitoring of all school activities, such as through means of distance learning.
Libraries, study halls and the Social Services’ dining halls also suspend their operating functions.
Sports and physical activities that take place in the University Stadium of Lisbon or the university’s schools are suspended or restricted, particularly those taking place in closed venues.
Students accommodated in the ULisboa’s Halls of Residence, which are not required to attend presential activities in their respective schools, will be advised to return to their regular homes; the halls of residence will ensure essential functions to support exceptional cases.
Group activities carried out in the university’s museums and their botanical gardens are also suspended, while the facilities will remain open to the public, for individual visitors.
Teleworking will be put into place whenever possible, in order to guarantee the university’s normal functioning.
Bearing in mind the community’s protection, all foreign travel for work or study is canceled.
Self-isolation should be upheld by all those considered suspect cases, including those returning from risk zones.
These measures are in effect for the next two weeks and will be adapted as required and according to the outbreak’s development.
