Goals

It is intended to strengthen the most advanced component of Technological Chemistry (to be completed at the level of 3rd cycle - PhD), contributing to the improvement of quality in training of highly qualified professionals and to innovation, fundamental steps towards the renewal and the development of the productive sector and the increase in wealth in Portugal.

The scientific objectives include the deepening of scientific and technological knowledge in the fields of industrial production chemistry, of up-to-date training in quality and industrial safety systems, of materials, of energy and environment and the application of chemistry and technology to solve current and future problems of the chemical and related industries.

Career prospects

With an employment rate of over 90% in the first 6 months, the masters in Technological Chemistry are employed in chemical and associated industries in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, forensic chemistry, agrochemical, food, waste treatment, polymer, electronics, pulp, textile and cork sectors, among others. Service and consultancy companies, quality control and metrology, higher education and research institutions, State laboratories, frequently hire these professionals.
